In Structs, players command an Alpha Base—a planetary mining operation designed to harness a planet’s native Alpha Ore—and a Fleet to protect the Alpha Base, or raid opposing Alpha Bases.
Your Alpha Base and your Fleet each consists of a unique array of Structs. Alpha Bases are composed of stationary planetary structures designed to process Alpha Ore, such as Mining Rigs and Refineries, and defensive Structs such as . Meanwhile, Fleets are composed of mobile attack units that can defend your operations or travel to enemy worlds for an attack.
As players mine and refine ore at their Alpha Bases, they are vulnerable to attack from enemy players, and if defending forces are defeated, Alpha Ore can be stolen. Players must decide whether to keep their fleets at home in a defensive posture, or deploy them to attack enemy worlds and potentially steal the enemy’s own Alpha Ore.
Fleets & Attacks
- Players each have a fleet with 1 Command Ship and a max of 16 mobile Structs.
- Air, land, and water-based fleet Structs are stored in the Command Ship when not in use on a planet’s surface.
- A player's fleet can protect their planet or be used to attack another player’s planet.
- To attack another player's planet, you must send your fleet to their planet.
- Deploying or recalling your fleet takes time.
- If the enemy player’s fleet is at their planet, then you have to fight the combined forces of the enemy’s fleet and their planetary defences.
- If the enemy player's fleet is not at their planet, then you only have to defeat their planetary defences.
- If you defeat your enemy’s planetary defences, you get to take all of their mined Alpha Ore. Stolen ore still has to be refined but you get to refine it back on your current planet. Stolen ore is automagically transported back to your planet.
- If your Command Ship is destroyed, then space units in its command are commandeered by the enemy player, and any units the ship was carrying are destroyed.
- If destroyed, your Command Ship can be rebuilt, but this will required hashing power.
- Structs can be set to defend other structs.
- If you have structs from ambits that the enemy’s planet doesn’t have, those structs cannot be used in the battle.
- To prevent people with multiple accounts from having a supreme advantage, the max number of enemy combatants will be limited to 2 players, and the max number of guild members that can assist in defence will be limited to 1.
