The thematics of the Structs economy is centred around the production, distribution, and consumption of energy, which is needed to power the game's units - Structs. Players can acquire Alpha fuel through mining, refining, and combat, and can then produce and distribute energy through reactors, power plants, and aggregators of either sources.

The Structs economy creates a tight loop of incentives that drive gameplay and encourage strategic decision-making, all while keeping the game state secured throughout the community.

Alpha Ore

During the mining process, Alpha is extracted from the planet as an Ore, which must undergo refining to become usable Alpha Matter. It is essential to note that Alpha Matter cannot be stolen from a player, but Alpha Ore is vulnerable to theft. Therefore, players must take precautions to protect their Alpha Ore to prevent it from falling into the hands of their rivals.

Alpha Matter (ALPHA)

Alpha Matter is the backbone of the Structs economy, a rare and potent substance that fuels the entire galactic civilization. It plays a crucial role in generating Energy, either by powering network validating Reactors or through Power Plants constructed delicately on player planets.

A highly prized resource, Alpha Matter can determine the success or failure of a player's faction.

Energy

Energy is a crucial resource in the game, necessary for powering players and their structures. Reactors and Power Plants can generate Energy by using Alpha as fuel. However, Energy is ephemeral, meaning it is limited and does not last forever. As a result, Factions must manage their Energy resources carefully to ensure their sustainability.

Energy generated in a block but not immediately consumed by Structs and/or Players is lost.

Instead, players must consume it directly from a power source (such as a Reactor or Power Plant). The amount of Energy available is limited to the amount produced each block, with no option to save excess for later use.

Time & Effort

The Structs universe has two critical ways in which time is measured, by block time of the Structs blockchain, as well as a Proof of Work based measurement of client-side effort.

IBC Assets

Other assets from the greater cosmos ecosystem may find their way into and out of the network as well.

Structs

The Structs themselves are also assets of course, taking Energy and time to build and attention to protect, destroy, or steal.

Cosmetics

Is it possible to create a universe where the community can effectively contribute to the look and feel without compromising gameplay or morals? We’ve got a plan that we think will work, allowing us to encourage a free market of contributors and collectors across the IBC ecosystem and beyond.

Of course, we won’t only leave this up to the community, Slow Ninja plans to lead by example to create a beautiful experience fitting of the cosmos.
